Most of your kids have spent most of their lives growing up in the shadow of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on America.
How are you going to address the 10th anniversary of this tragedy that changed life for most Americans and led to U.S. military involvement in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

1) Questions for Reflection
What impact has 9/11 had on your kids? You won’t know unless you ask them. Here are some questions you can use for a time of discussion and reflection with your group.
a) Where were you when 9/11 happened?
b) How did you feel that day?
c) How have you felt about 9/11 in the decade since the attacks?
d) How has life changed for you and for others you know after 9/11?
e) How do you feel about Islam and Muslims? Do you know any Muslims? Are all Muslims responsible for 9/11, or just some followers of Islam?
f) What is something you would like to see America do in the second decade after 9/11?
