A Guide to God’s Word Translation gives a clear picture of translating the Bible according to the Principles of Closest Natural Equivalence (CNE). God’s Word Translation insists on translating “meaning clearly while preserving the text’s literary integrity.”
In this short, simple guide, they compare CNE to several other ways of translating the Bible. God’s Word Translation also gives brief explanations on a textual basis, word choices and the seven-step translation process.
God’s Word Translation is clear and precise, yet sticks as close to the original text as possible. Although much of this short guide goes deeper than the basic reader desires, it has convinced me to purchase my own copy of God’s Word Translation.
