Reject passivity, accept responsibility, lead courageously, and expect God’s reward.

This theme is reiterated time and again by men’s ministry veteran Robert Lewis in this DVD plus workbook series for fathers with sons ages 16 to 19. Taking a solid biblical journey, examining the attributes of the first Adam in Genesis, and culminating in the Gospels by observing the second Adam (Jesus), Becoming a Man is full of football and golf humor, sure to hit a home run with sporty fathers or sons, but may disinterest fathers or sons who are more creative.

In presentation, this curriculum will appeal more to men ages 30+, however teenagers can benefit from the material discussed. The idea of limiting it to fathers with sons 16+ is difficult. Undeniably, father and son connection is vital; but if connection hasn’t occurred at an earlier age (especially from 11 to 13) how is a 16-year-old going to open up to his father?
