You have to admire the stereotypical sales representatives. They walk into any situation and with incredible confidence and ease seem to be able to talk to anyone about anything, or everyone about everything. I think to myself, I wish I could be more outgoing, more of an extrovert or at least more knowledgeable about more things.
Mike Bechtle would say, “Now hold on there. That’s not true. Let me show you how to strike up a conversation to fit the given situation that fits your unique, God-given personality. Let me show you how to converse using your strengths without the worry of what you lack or what you think you have to become.”
Confident Conversations is about exploring the common ground with others that creates a comfort zone. It’s also a book that reinforces the value and power of the lost art of everyday conversation.
