Devour is written to students to help them move past seeing the Bible as a snack and as an actual meal. The approach involves training students about what to do with the words of God from ways to understand it to how to approach it. Each chapter offers activities to help teens dig into this on their own or with a group.

It seems the best use of this resource is in a class where you read the book together and talk about the application. That’s not to say a student couldn’t read this on his or her own, but that a community of peers with you at the helm will help them better squeeze out the life in the Scripture.
