Although this collection of articles from the pages of Gifted Education Communicator Journal focuses on the classroom, you don’t have to be gifted to enjoy it. We all encounter those special kids in our youth groups who are bored with the program. We chalk it up to apathy and move on but what if this child is gifted? Gifted children are among us, and this book will help you spot and engage them.
The mission and target of this book is stated clearly in the foreword: “… to present practical applications of best practices for educators and parents of K-12 gifted learners.”
The information is academically sound but might be a struggle for the rightbrained creative leader. I don’t know many youth workers (including myself) who couldn’t use helpful articles to plan for those students who know the Bible better than we do.
