Jeff Baxter invites readers to a buffet of information. The only problem with a buffet is there are so many good things. Following Jesus serves us many needed dishes that every high-school senior and college freshman need to hear.
The book is divided into three parts, much like a real buffet: identity, choices and belonging. It’s not the familiar topics that will excite, but the depth Baxter takes into each one that will keep students, pastors and youth workers coming back for more.
After you’ve stuffed yourself, leave room for the end of each chapter as Baxter offers us a mint: questions for the journey, Web and more book resources. You may have a lot on your plate, but leave room for Following Jesus.
