“I’m hungry; stop feeding me milk” is an undeniable cry from today’s young adults. Well-written and practical, From Jay-Z to Jesus contains sample documents and reflective questions that are easily modified to create authentic communication and ministry opportunities between youth and adults. This book is not a how-to but a here’s-how.

The authors offer incredible insight into a world where “Religious pundits are not speaking from pulpits but rather at concerts in between their songs.” The title may appear misleading because Jay-Z is not a contributing writer of the book; second, the principles and practices of this book are not limited to Reaching and Teaching Young Adults in the Black Church. Because hip-hop communicates in a language that has become universal, influencing all cultures and people groups, this book is a necessary tool for all youth workers.
