Ever wondered what you can do with those leftover poinsettias that otherwise will wilt in January? How about this: Collect potted poinsettias in one room, and prepare your own poinsettia scavenger hunt.
Participants will look for the items among the poinsettia plants and complete the worksheet that leaders have prepared. Some nice items to hide in the plants include: paperclips, small erasers, crayons, small stones, threads, bracelets, earrings, rubber bands, Christmas tree bulbs, etc.
Once you have completed the scavenger hunt with the plants, make arrangements to take them to a nursing home or assisted-living community to give to residents.
