Begin by hiding a $1 bill somewhere in the meeting room. The bill can be crumpled, too, or stuffed inside an object. When the group assembles, invite the teenagers to find the dollar bill. One a cold day, this game makes indoors more exciting. Go as large as you like. Use a $5 or $10 dollar bill if you want. Hide more than one. Of course, whoever finds the bill keeps it—not a bad way to begin a meeting.
Use the find to launch into a lesson on:
• locating a prize,
• happening upon something unexpected with benefits,
• having something good happen while exploring potential and/or unexpected drawbacks,
• decisions/choices about what to do with or how to use our resources.
