Days after Ricky Gervais hosted NBC’s Golden Globe Awards telecast, his controversial movie The Invention of Lying released on DVD. The atheist comedian’s film is funny, but it’s also deadly serious.
That’s because the film, available on DVD Jan. 19, 2010, identifies religion as one of the falsehoods people tell themselves.
