Youth leaders who might be looking for a creative and tasty game for the New Year or for Fat Tuesday can’t go wrong with a box of donuts and some cake decorating supplies (icing, sprinkles, etc.).
Purchase enough yeast donuts so each teenager in your group has a donut for decorating. Plain cake donuts can also be used. Invite each teenager to create a unique donut by using the various frostings and supplies on hand. Offer a theme for this activity if you like.
Afterward, enjoy the donuts as a treat.
Instead of decorating, the group could also try one of these donut games.
Divide the teenagers into two teams. Give each person on each team a drinking straw. Holding the drinking straws in their mouths, the youth must race to see which team can pass their donut down the line from straw-to-straw. No hands may be used.
Another fun game can be played with wax paper. Give each team (or person) two sheets of wax paper and a donut. See which team can create the largest donut by pressing or smashing the donut between the sheets of paper. Use a caliper or a measuring tape to see which team has created the donut with the largest circumference.
