Group Publishing is set to Release its findings on the church in the January issues of Group, Rev!, Children’s Ministry and online. Topics include Women’s Ministry, Youth Ministry, Children’s Ministry and an Overview of the Church as a Whole.
For the past 30 years, Group Publishing has been a trusted source for information on the church. Today, Group Publishing is proud to announce its landmark research study, The State of the Church 2009. Focused on the church as a whole, as well as content specific to Youth Ministry, Children’s Ministry and Women’s ministry, The State of the Church research will be available on the organization’s Web site and in the print editions of Rev!, Group, and Children’s Ministry Magazines January 2009 issues, which will hit newsstands this week.
“We talk constantly with church leaders about their needs, wants and successes,” says Group’s Chief Creative Officer Joani Schultz. “That gives us a unique peek into how the church is doing. We can identify issues and challenges churches now face–or are likely to face in the near future.”
Not only will the research be available online and in print, Group Publishing has created a Web site with how church workers can navigate the information and use it in their own ministries. The Web site will include practical guides with additional information on using the data, as well as podcasts, forums and discussion groups.
Schultz is excited about making Group’s research available to the church. “We feel it’s our responsibility not only to present the data, but also to unpack it a bit. We uncovered some dramatic–and unexpected–themes as we did the research. It’s not enough just to broadcast the statistics; we also want to help the church understand its strengths and weaknesses. We’re all in this together!”
To continue with the research and growth, Group and it’s family of publications and curriculums will be launching a free e-series titled “Hope for 2009,” which will take a deeper look at the studies and continue the research throughout the year.
