The release this week of Beautiful Faith, an inspiring CD collection of new music from some of the freshest female voices in inspirational Christian music, is just the beginning of a major global mission to touch and change lives. Beautiful Faith is the first title in the Higher Sounds compilation series being produced by LOG Records with the goal of bringing quality music that reflects faith in a relevant way.
The CD features a fresh wind of inspirational and worship songs from 13 female singers and songwriters from various cultural backgrounds, life experiences, and levels of industry recognition. Woven together from many colors into a unique tapestry of their desire to bring the beauty of faith to their listeners, the result is a stand-out new release from new voices worth hearing.
More than just music, Beautiful Faith is the first step in a total ministry concept to energize women around the world through a collective movement of testimonies, charity initiatives, seminars and concerts aimed at sharing personal and remarkable stories of how God has impacted and changed lives.
Beautiful Faith will release an enhanced CD containing bonus materials, including a link to exclusive songs for download and companion devotional materials. The project will be available as a digital release on iTunes on Nov. 14.
The project is the ministry vision and production credit of Larissa Lam, whose single Listen to Our Hearts, taken from the new album, is now being played on Christian radio stations. Larissa has had wide national recognition within Christian music as a record executive and an artist, as well as being recognized as an in-demand speaker. A Chinese-American with a passion for reaching all nations, Larissa is seen as the regular television host of “Top 3” on Christian youth network JCTV, which reaches national and international audiences.
The songs and the 13 artists of Beautiful Faith reflect an outpouring of life experiences in their music from trials to triumphs. Bree Noble, who is visually impaired, performs “Impossibly Beautiful”; Jill Welch, a cancer survivor, contributes the poignant “Seeds”; Krissy Nordhoff, who previously has had No. 1 hits in Europe and South Africa, shares “You Don’t Change”; Meme, an active spokeswoman for World Vision, brings “Everything I Need” to the collection. California-based worship leader Hoi adds “Shine for Me” to the project; and new indie artist Kathleen Carnali is included with “I Will Not Be Afraid.”
The depth of talent is evident in the artists’ collective achievements. Sydney resident, Deb Fung, received Australia’s Best New Artist gospel award. Hannah Ford and Rosanna Fiorazo have been winners of Best New Artist’awards by FISH radio in Los Angeles. Michigan artist, Rachanee, won Best Contemporary Christian Song at the 2006 Independent Music Awards. Melissa Disney and Angela Michael are successful session singers in Los Angeles; their voices frequently can be heard in network performances on Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and other national outlets.
Though the women of Beautiful Faith have experienced recognition on many levels, their recognition of a faithful and loving God takes center stage on this new CD.
