Teach your students the classic game of marbles (draw a circle with sidewalk chalk, and then try to knock the opposing player’s marbles out of the circle to claim them). However, for this game, you’ll be using colored ice cubes instead of marbles.
Create your colored ice cubes with an assortment of food-coloring (trays work best). Divide the cubes and create a marble ring in the parking lot or sidewalk.
You also will need a cooler to store the cubes in while you are outside. Instead of claiming the marbles, you’ll be playing for prizes. Visit the local dollar store for some inexpensive prizes.
