Into My Arms is an intense yet much-needed look at post-abortion trauma. These are the things no one ever tells men and women who consider abortion. Youth workers should work with parents and make a plan to show and discuss this film with guys and girls before they are faced with an unplanned pregnancy. Be sure to use the bonus features, especially “Men and Abortion.” Also, don’t leave out the teens, parents and other adults in your church who by viewing this film find a place to begin healing from previous decisions.

Into My Arms is a well-produced documentary, featuring women who have been brave enough to share their stories of the trauma of abortion. With appropriate supervision, dialogue and opportunities for discussion in an emotionally and psychologically safe environment, this could be a tool to use for post-abortion counseling, as well as a preventive measure for those who could choose to keep their babies or allow them to be adopted. While the video is perhaps short on the information that could have been provided, due mostly to the redundancy in the stories told, overall it’s long on grace, particularly due to the segments featuring John Eldredge of Ransomed Heart Ministries.
