Veerman provides a guide for parents facing a child who is leaving home. He gives advice as a father who has personally experienced two daughters graduating from his home into life. The value of Veerman’s book is the sense of normalcy it provides to parents experiencing the pain and emotions surrounding a graduating teenager. But Veerman focuses more on preparing parents to anticipate rebellion rather than helping them prepare teenagers to follow Jesus as they leave home.
