This is the fifth book in a series about a group of teenage girls living in a boarding home called The Carter House. Between boyfriends, high school and simply trying to get along under one roof, Melody Carlson has done a nice job of showing what teen angst is like and how to survive it. Her characters are believable, relatable and authentic.
These books open many doors for dialogue with teens. They are realistic in how a Christian teen modern deals with the same pressures a non-Christian teen does and through fiction helps girls see how to be a true friend without having to give up being true to themselves and their faith.
