Entertainment Weekly calls Miranda Cosgrove “TV’s Most Powerful Teen.” So who’s Cosgrove? The 16-year-old actress plays the popular character iCarly, who is the center of Nickelodeon’s chart-topping series, which is now in its third season.
Cosgrove’s new contract pays her $3 million for 26 episodes. and she released her debut pop recording “Sparks Fly,” in April.
“iCarly” is also popular with parents, which is no surprise to its creator, Dab Schneider. “I don’t write ‘iCarly’ as a kids show,” he told EW. “It’s a family sitcom, and those aren’t on the networks anymore.”
