We all know exercise is good for our bodies. Some researchers say it’s also good for girls’ brains, too.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found girls (between kindergarten and fifth grade) who exercised a lot—between 70 and 300 minutes a week—scored significantly higher on standardized tests than girls who exercised less.
This is important, because many schools—pressured to raise their test scores—often trim down students’ time in gym class to get more minutes in the classroom. (USA Today)
