MissionLab New Orleans started about 10 years ago when a team of youth ministry professionals agreed that not all students are at the same level of maturity or ability when it comes to a mission experience.
Ten years later; thousands of hours; seemingly countless meals, brooms, hammers, games of tag; and relationships with community, MissionLab is reaching more people, discipling more students and seeing more lives changed than ever before.
MissionLab, as a ministry of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, has expanded beyond youth to include collegiate projects, family opportunities and senior adult programs.
MissionLab provides affordable, all-inclusive, customized mission experiences, connecting groups such as yours with ministries in the Greater New Orleans area. We teach missions through real, hands-on ministry opportunities by partnering with ministries, churches and missions in and around New Orleans. Rooted and active in different aspects of ministry throughout the city, the MissionLab staff can customize mission trips for groups
of all shapes and sizes. We can mix and match ministry sites to fit the needs and abilities of the groups while also meeting the needs throughout the city of New Orleans.
More than speakers and bands, MissionLab gives people a chance to put feet to their faith. The program is set up as a summer camp centered on missions, providing morning devotion time, worship nights with a top-notch band and camp pastor, as well as camp-wide fellowship. Meanwhile, the days are spent out and about in the city of New Orleans playing with children, building houses, and sharing the gospel!
MissionLab exists to create missionaries. This program is designed to show your group that mission opportunities surround us everyday, no matter where you live. Groups from around the country are discovering the difference at MissionLab, and so should you.
