New Beginnings offers anything but what the title suggests. Rather, it enables a new graduate to be emotionally stunted by providing lukewarm sentiment and content that is sure to leave the reader curled in the fetal position of his or her new dorm room, flipping through a senior yearbook and longing for the good old days of high school.
New Beginnings‘ quotes, Scripture references and lyrics provide little in the way of pushing or stretching readers to embrace the new challenges in their lives. All in all, the construction of the book makes for a great coaster or spacer to keep your desk from wobbling. With very little content and total lack of a message, New Beginnings is best comparable to a “See-Spot-run” book in which the reader’s goal is to just get to the end.
