North! Or Be Eaten is the sequel to On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness and the second book in the Wingfeather saga. Peterson weaves together a fascinating fantasy story that incorporates many elements of Christianity.
The book follows the three Igiby children, who are destined to become the heirs to the lost kingdom of Anniera. The Igiby family is forced to flee north in order to evade capture from the terrifyingly evil Fangs of Dang.
Peterson manages to create a very believable fantasy world, as well as characters with authentic personalities. Through the many adventures, Peterson emphasizes the importance of family and trusting God. Despite the lack of true depth in the storyline, North! Or Be Eaten is still a very compelling book that many readers will enjoy.
