CCM Readers Hand Out Awards
Jeremy Camp and Family Force 5 were named CCMmagazine.com‘s top artist and band, respectively, in the site’s 2009 Readers’ Choice Awards.
Camp and FF5 took home multiple honors, with Camp also named Best Songwriter, while FF5 earned Best Album honors (for Dance or Die) and, perhaps with a bit of unintended irony, Most Underrated Artist.
Readers voted TobyMac as Best Male Artist and Natalie Grant as Best Female Artist. Chris Tomlin snagged Best Worship Artist honors for the fifth straight year, while KJ-52 earned Best Hip-Hop Artist for a fourth time.
Coverage of the awards is on CCMmagazine.com now, including feature stories, interviews and candid photos.
Podcast interviews with many of the winners also are available.
Gordon-Conwell Unveils New Doctorate Program
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Mass., is launching a new doctorate-level program in Ministry to Emerging Generations. The program is being endorsed by the Center for Parent/Youth Understanding and will be co-mentored by CPYU’s Walt Mueller and Dr. Steven Kang from Gordon-Conwell.
“During the past several years, many of you have asked about the possibility of going deeper with us here at CPYU in a more formal educational setting,” Meuller said. “This new Doctor of Ministry track meets that need for those of you who wish to pursue further education at a high level above and beyond what we could pull off here alone at CPYU.”
