SUPPLIES: Thick blanket or shower curtain

THE GAME: Designate two leaders to hold the blanket up like a curtain and split remaining players into two groups. Place one group on each side of the blanket. Each group quietly chooses one person to kneel close to the blanket. When the leaders drop the blanket to the floor, the first peron on the kneeling pair to call out the name of the other person scores a team point. The second person joins the winning team. Play continues until one team has captured the other team. If team members know each other well, the kneeling pair can sit with their backs to the blanket. When the leaders drop the blanket to the floor, the pair must rely on verbal clues from their group members to guess each other’s identity. All clues must be framed as positive attributes, respecting each person’s diversity, abilities, and self-worth.

GOING DEEPER:
• How much time did it take to capture the other team?
• If you lost a round, what strategies did you use next time to name someone?
• How does it feel to hear positive comments made about you?
• In what ways can you work to build others’ self-esteem?
