Not only does Randy Stonehill craft Paradise Sky as a tribute to the passing of Larry Norman, but the album also serves as the soundtrack to the late great’s biopic Fallen Angel.
As for the specific content within Paradise Sky, expect to hear re-recordings of top tracks from 1976’s Welcome to Paradise and 1980’s The Sky Is Falling, two Stonehill sessions on the Solid Rock label produced by Norman. Though some extreme purists may disagree with his tinkering of old tunes, it’s actually an applaudable effort that allows these long lost gems to earn a fresh coat of paint thanks to modern studio technology.
