Carlson comes at his audience with a strong foundation and belief that Jesus’ teachings should be taught exactly as He taught them and deters his readers from putting too much of a personal spin on their message. Even though the concepts are simple, and the teachings are at a fairly surface level, Carlson establishes pillars that his readers can build upon. The way this book establishes a master teacher to emulate sets it apart.
