Any youth leader who has dreamed of uses for the junk drawer at home or desk drawer filled with paper clips and batteries will love Super Sneaky Uses for Everyday Things. As the book demonstrates, there is a little MacGyver or Mr. Gadget in each of us, and we don’t have to look far to find those odds-and-ends that can turn a hum-drum youth meeting or retreat into a creative funfest.
In short, youth will love this book—especially boys—and youth leaders who are looking for something radically different to catch the attention and energies of teenagers can’t go wrong with this collection of nuts and bolts. In fact, Tymony has an entire series of books demonstrating how everyday objects can be transformed into amazing fun. In case you are wondering, he will show you how turn ordinary objects such as paper clips, duct tape, T-shirts, batteries, coins and cardboard boxes into fun games and attractions. Better yet, you won’t have to create anything yourself. Bring in the objects and the teenagers will do it for you. There may not be any theology in this book, but there is an ample supply of object lessons.
