The Almighty Bible: Genesis
By Kevin O’Donnell
Apple of the Eye Publishing, 2010
Book, $13.99;  iPad App, TBD

Comic book-style Bibles have been around a while, but what separates this resource from others in its genre is the software  app that maximizes the text into an iPad format. The pictures come to life with effects, narration, Bible studies and more. Students can highlight a key Scripture, click on a map tool to reference where it took place and see any applicable commentary on it.
This is an exciting way to read the Bible, produced under a quality artist and software team. The iPad App version is a homerun, free for first section—”Creation” and “Garden of Eden” —with three other sections you can download for less than a dollar. An online club for kids and the print edition are also great hits.
