Invite the entire group to stand. Then, as leader, begin offering statements beginning with the phase, “Sit down if…”
• “Sit down if you have ever been to Canada.”
• “Sit down if you wear contact lenses.”
•”Sit down if you have a pet guinea pig.”
Use your imagination and create statements that will encompass a few or many in your group. Eventually only a few people will be standing (honor system applies, of course, as people will have to be honest). The last person standing wins and gets to create sit-down statements for the next round. This game can be played in a few minutes or can take time. It also can be combined with other activities such as refreshments.
