With the increasing popularity of the Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer, in print and on the big screen, author Beth Felker Jones provides a thorough and in-depth evaluation of the series in her book Touched by a Vampire.
The book evaluates a number of issues such as love, family, sexuality and more that are present in the books and contrasts them with what the Bible says about these topics. Although at times the conclusions from the author could have had a more positive spin, she does a great job of bringing questions to light that we need to think about when it comes to Twilight.
Though specifically written about the four books, the great discussion questions and insights can also be applied to the movies. Touched by a Vampire is a great resource for parents to have as they process the messages with their Twilight fan daughters (and sons) and would be great read for the young fans to read themselves.
