I was relieved by the humility with which the author approached the subject; parents who seem to have it all together all of the time make me uncomfortable — maybe because I simply can’t relate, but more so because I question their honesty. Robinson is authentic in his approach, while being bold in his assertions. He shares principles rather than techniques, which I also find refreshing in this genre. Language like “partnering” with our kids in their own spiritual meanderings rather than the more authoritarian metaphors so often used by Christian parents had me nodding in assent while reading — something I don’t often do. Highly recommended.
