This is a fantastic trust-building game that you can play with scrap lumber. Before the meeting, create a walkway in the parking lot using various-sized boards (2X4s and 2X8s work best). The teenagers will then have to help each other navigate from one end of this route to the other by walking on top of the boards. If anyone steps off the boards, the entire group must begin again.
This exercise works best by instructing the teenagers that they must work together to figure out how to walk across the boards without stepping off—and create a plan to get the entire group from one end to the other.
This game works well as a group-builder on work teams, mission trips and summer retreats or camps.
