The Saying Yes Worship Arts Conference is for worship leaders, dancers, actors and directors, designers, visual artists, writers, musicians, vocalists, senior pastors and people in technical and communication arts.
The conference will be held Sept. 30 – October 2, 2009, at Woodmen Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs.
Here’s more from organizer Cindy West (who wrote about worship in the May/June issue of YouthWorker Journal).
Saying Yes is for anyone passionate about the place where creativity, God and His people intersect.
We’re not saying, “Hey, we have it all figured out!” If you’ve traveled the path with us at Woodmen for any length of time, you know we’re just ordinary people going all-out to do real ministry. God has blessed us not only with creative individuals but also with so many creative tools. As good stewards, it’s time for us to share our gifts and experiences with others. We realize the artistic spirit must be fed in order to thrive and lead in the church–and more importantly in the world.
Main sessions will feature teaching from John Lynch, Cindy West and Matt Heard. Brenton Brown will join us, along with Andy Bromley, Nate Rees and Mark Tedder leading us in worship. There will be breakout sessions to inspire and equip all kinds of artists, regardless of their fields.
