Yancy continues to redefine youthful worship thanks to cutting-edge albums, DVDs, her recent devotional book and non-stop touring. This fall, Yancy will return to Christ In Youth’s successful preteen event SuperStart! to lead worship for the 2010-2011 national tour. SuperStart! is a weekend event designed specifically for preteens with the sole purpose of understanding them and connecting them to the gospel of Christ. This is accomplished in a safe environment filled with high-energy worship, interactive teaching and small-group discussions, all designed with the needs of preteens in mind.
“I’m so excited to be back out this year to lead worship at SuperStart! Each event is so fun and rewarding to be a part of,” says Yancy. “The preteen age is such an important time in a kid’s life as they solidify their roots in their faith and really start living it out. We were all created to worship and these students get that. I encourage pastors and leaders to bring your fourth, fifth and sixth grade students out. It will be a life-changing weekend for sure!”

A seasoned artist, worship leader and songwriter, Yancy has spent much of the last decade recording and touring, sharing the stage with the music industry’s brightest stars, including Nichole Nordeman, MuteMath, newsboys and others. She co-wrote “Something Beautiful” for Jaci Velasquez and Avalon’s No. 1 hit, “I Don’t Want to Go.” She’s also written two devotional books for worship leaders and musicians. Prior to moving to Nashville, Yancy spent five years as a worship leader at Church on the Move, a megachurch in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Yancy maintains a full-time tour schedule, including conferences and conventions throughout the United States, including the Kings & Princesses events alongside her father Jim Wideman.
