At the Ethics and Public Policy Center’s Faith Angle Forum last week, Southern Baptist Convention Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission President Russell Moore, argued that today’s young evangelical Christian identify neither with the conservative right or the liberal left. Rather, he said, they prefer a “freaking” message that’s linked to the gospel. Moore added that today’s Christian community should align more with the Greatful Dead than Merle Haggard as the culture wars take a new turn with fewer nominal Christians in what he calls a “reverse rapture.”
