British youth between the ages of 16 and 24 are spending an average of 27 hours, 36 minutes online every week, according to a communications regulator called Ofcom. That’s more than a full day—and nearly three times the 10 hours young adults spent online per week a decade ago. Experts say the rise in smartphones has contributed greatly to the time spent online.
