Justin Bieber spent several days in Sydney, Australia, attending Hillsong Church’s 2015 conference during the first week of July. Though some critics alleged that Bieber spent more time taking pictures for his followers than engaging in the conference, Brian Houston, Hillsong’s senior pastor, said he’s glad the Biebs was there.

“I think a lot of things got the better of him, like happens with young kids,” Houston said to Nine Network television, referring to Bieber’s much-chronicled off-stage troubles. “No doubt he’d probably be the first to say he lost his way in a whole lot of ways, and yeah, I think he realizes that it’s now-or-never time to try to build better foundations into his life.” (Associated Press)
