Singer Lana Del Rey is on record as being infatuated with death. Her musical inspirations include Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain, both of whom died at 27. Del Rey, 28, told London newspaper The Guardian, “I wish I was dead already.”

The singer’s comments drew the attention of Frances Bean, daughter of Cobain, who was 2 years old when her father died.

“@LanaDelRey the death of young musicians isn’t something to romanticize,” Bean tweeted. “I’ll never know my father because he died young & it becomes a desirable feat because ppl like u think it’s “cool”…Well, it’s [expletive] not. Embrace life, because u only get one life. The ppl u mentioned wasted that life. Don’t be 1 of those ppl.” (ABC News)
