With marijuana already legal in four states and others considering also making it so, a handful of colleges and universities are offering courses on how to succeed and profit from this weedy industry.
Anne Arundel Community College is one of three institutes in the country offering marijuana-themed business courses (the others being Oaksterdam University in Oakland, Calif., and the University of Denver in Colorado). Its course, titled Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Emerging Markets: Marijuana Legalization, is attracting a wide variety of students.
“Already it’s opened all of our minds to all the possibilities in the future with marijuana in general,” says 18-year-old student Ky Hoffman. “There are so many opportunities that are going to be there in the future.” (ABC News)
