Three inmates from the Eastern New York Correctional Facility won a debate against three members of the Harvard College Debate team last month.

The debate was part of the Bard Prison Initiative, which is intended to help give qualifying prisoners a good college education and a chance for better jobs once they’re released. The results were no fluke: Inmates also have beaten debaters from West Point and the University of Vermont. (Time)
