The state of Kentucky has decided to do away with the old tradition of shaking your opponents’ hands after high school sporting events. It’s not that the state is against sportsmanship: In fact, its all for it; but in the past three years, more than two dozen very unsportsman-like confrontations have taken place during handshake ceremonies, leading Kentucky’s high school sanctioning body to eliminate the tradition.

Schools can choose to ignore the directive, but if anything bad happens during the handshake, it’s the schools that will have to deal with any repercussions. (Fox News)
