While nearly nine out of 10 parents believe they’re giving their children a healthy home environment, a new survey by the YMCA suggests otherwise. According to the survey, only 14 percent of children ages 5-10 ingest the recommended five servings of fruits and vegetables a day, while 62 percent eat junk food one to four days a week. Officials believe this sheds a bit of light on why more than a third of U.S. children are overweight. (USA Today)
