Young moms are more likely to be single than married, according to a study by John Hopkins University. In fact, one-third of women ages 26 to 31 were married at the time of the birth of all their children.

The study underlined a continuing societal shift away from marriage, but it also points to an educational divide among women. College-educated females with kids are far more likely to be married than their less-educated peers; the less educated a woman is, the more likely she’ll be an unmarried mother. (Time)
