The FDA is proposing regulations for e-cigarettes, including the banning the sale of them for anyone under 18. It also proposes to regulate what goes into an e-cigarette, along with cigars, pipe tobacco and hookahs, none of which had been monitored by the FDA previously. “This is an important moment for consumer protection,” said FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg. If the FDA has its way, the proposals could become law within a year. (USA Today)
