Rapper Snoop Dogg has made no secret of his affinity for marijuana. Indeed, many of his most popular songs are either about the drug or at least reference it in some way, and he owes a lot his popularity to the pot. Now, he’s hoping that it’ll carry him to success in a new field.
Dogg is launching Merry Jane, a new digital-media business focused on all things weed. “Merry Jane is cannabis 2.0,” he said in a promotional video. “A crossroads of pot culture, business, politics, health.” It’ll include a cooking show designed to prepare marijuana edibles and become an advertising destination for companies cashing in on the burgeoning pot industry…[featuring] cameos from famous pot-friendly celebrities, too.
