Sports and energy drinks have been linked to more physical activity among teens, according to a study by the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.

When you think about it, this connection between sports drinks and—well, sports—should be something of a no-brainer. Lately, though, the relation between the two hasn’t been so obvious. Consumption of these flavored drinks has tripled among teens in the past decade, including many who’d rather play basketball on the PS4 than on the court. In fact, the same study found that not only were teen energy drink consumers more likely to exercise, but they also were more likely to be avid gamers and smoke. (Time)
