What did kids do during summer vacation? Watch more television, of course—or so suggests a new AdWeek/Harris Poll survey. According to the study, more than half of parents (57%) loosen restrictions on media consumption during the summer, with 49 percent of parents saying they allow their kids to watch more TV, and 46 percent say they let them play more videogames. Nearly a fourth of parents say they let their children consume “much more” media than during the school year. About 15 percent of parents went the other direction, saying they actually trimmed their sons’ and daughters’ media consumption. (AdWeek)
