A study by PLUS Model Magazine suggests the fashion industry is out of touch with the way real women, including teens and youth, actually look. The study found that if past supermodels Christie Brinkley, Paulina Porizkova and Cindy Crawford were modeling today, they’d be considered plus-size. Twenty years ago, runway models were an average of 8 percent lighter than the typical woman; now, the difference has spread to 23 percent. Furthermore, the magazine alleges that most runway models now meet the body-mass index criteria for anorexia. (Fox News)
