Want to know how to curtsy? How far to hold your pinky out from the cup while drinking tea? Debrett’s has long taught Great Britain’s etiquette-minded citizens everything they need to know about social gentility. Now, the organization aims to teach teens some social graces in their online lives, as well.
Debrett’s is now offering classes for 13- to 16-year-olds on how to navigate the bewildering world of social networks, as well as tips on how to interact with adults. They’ll cost about 750 British pounds per student, nearly $1,140 in U.S. currency.
“We share so much information and network through many social media channels—often to the detriment of face-to-face skills,” Debrett’s says. (New Zealand Herald)
